Software Engineer - ERP Applications

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Software Engineer position with an emphasis on ERP Applications. Systems analysis and design together with data analysis and design 2. Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain SEL Business Systems 3. Implement and integrate vendor applications within the SEL Enterprise  4. Make software recommendations to management 5. Work with users to devise or modify processes to solve problems, improve efficiency, and reduce operational errors 6. Prepare detailed specifications from which software will be implemented 7. Provide project management, task leadership, and training for project team members 8. Stay abreast of industry developments appropriate to delivering and supporting enterprise applications   9. Follow and improve Information Services area processes 10. Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. 11. Understand. Create. Simplify. 12. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications B.S. in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience 2+ years developing, implementing, or supporting enterprise wide (ERP) application software US Citizenship Experience with SQL based applications and database development Proficiency building complex queries with SQL Software programming skills in C, C++, C#, VB.Net, Java, Python, or similar languages Strong writing, speaking, documentation, and training skills Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability and desire to work cooperatively in team environment Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s) Preferred Qualifications Experience developing and supporting applications in a Professional Services company Experience supporting Professional Services ERP software like Deltek Vision, Unanet Project ERP, Epicor PSA, or Netsuite OpenAir/SRP  Experience with end-user reporting tools like Microsoft SSRS, SAP Business Objects, or Crystal Reports Proficiency with Microsoft Transact SQL and Stored Procedures Experience with ETL products like Microsoft SSIS Development experience with Web Service API's Physical Requirements None Location Information Pullman, WA- SEL's corporate office is located in Eastern Washington where you'll enjoy an unmatched quality of life. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
