Human Resources Analyst - Workday

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and detailed individual for our Human Resources Analyst position. As a Human Resources Analyst you will work with a team to support Workday, an enterprise HRIS application, partnering with others to design, configure, test, and provide end-user support. Essential responsibilities include developing and maintaining plans and processes in Workday, use knowledge of both HR process and HRIS system capability to capture new business requirements for resolution of business issues and process improvements, and participate in internal HR and cross-departmental projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Participate in internal HR and cross-departmental projects to investigate and implement systems and procedures that manage HR data and business processes.
2. Act as a liaison between IT, end-users, and project team members, utilizing both HR process knowledge and HRIS system capabilities to capture new business requirements for resolution of business issues and process improvement.
3. Create test plans, execute testing on system changes, and communicate results to HR management and IT to ensure proper functionality is delivered.
4. Document and maintain HRIS procedures and user documentation.
5. Assist with the creation of training materials and communication plans.
6. Create standard and complex HRIS-related reports.
7. Assist in configuration and maintenance of the HRIS system.
8. Define and follow area processes.
9. Understand. Create. Simplify.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
B.A or B.S. degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
HRIS experience with an emphasis on relational database management and administration
Minimum of three years business analysis experience including the creation of functional requirements, testing, and implementation of technical solutions
Previous experience as a functional member with mid to large scale HR technology projects, working with cross functional project teams
Ability to work independently, accepting ownership for assigned responsibilities
Ability to identify organizational needs and deliver solutions
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive information and data
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills, with the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum two years project management experience
HRIS experience in a multi-unit or global environment

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
