Senior Engineering Technician - $4,756 - $5,781 per month. This position performs public works construction project design, surveying and inspection. Duties include: planning, organizing, and coordinating public works construction projects including engineering drawings, preliminary design, estimates of materials, final drawings, pre-construction meetings, traffic control and project reports; serving as liaison to contractors and public; inspecting and testing materials used by contractors; supervision and participating in all phases of field work. Minimum qualifications include: college-level course work in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field and three years of a variety of experience in public works engineering, including design, surveying, drafting, and construction inspection. Working knowledge of computer programs such as computer-aided drafting and mapping software and a variety of personal computer programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other engineering programs.
