Certified Medical Assistant - Inland Orthopedics

40 hour non-exempt work weekThe Medical Assistants works closely with our sports medicine physician to provide direct care to our patients making sure they receive compassionate and accurate communication, education and medical services.
The medical assistant will work with WSU Collegiate athletes, in conjunction with our sports medicine physician and our orthopedic team of surgeons.
The Medical Assistant is responsible as a support person for all clinical and clerical needs of the practice as it relates to patient care.
The Certified Medical Assistant demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Qualifications:
Education/Training:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Previous healthcare experience preferred.
License/Registration:
Medical Assistant- Certification in the State of Washington is required.
BLS is required.
Population Served:
Pediatric, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Age, and Elderly.
Essential Functions:
Planning and PrioritizingPlans work around department activity during the shift to optimize productivity.
Demonstrates the ability to reprioritize work as needed to support other members of the patient care team.

Information GatheringCollects and tracks medical records for timely transcription and processing of physicians orders.
Gathers and documents vital signs and records in the medical record.
Seeks information about the What, Why, How, Where and When of patient care and department activity in order to enhance accuracy and timeliness of information exchange with physician, licensed staff, patients, and families.

CommunicationCommunicates with the Clinical Staff Manager what has been done and what remains to be done throughout the shift.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
