Summary of Duties:
The Donor Relations Specialist will lead donor recognition and stewardship initiatives for the WSU Foundation.
This position is responsible for direct communication with donors, quality assurance for donor relations/stewardship materials, adherence to compliance standards for gift acceptance and uses, and ensuring accuracy in tracking and disseminating information related to gifts and donor recognition and stewardship.
Working collaboratively with the Assistant Director for Stewardship, this position will lead audit processes for endowment accounts and scholarships.
As a critical member of the Philanthropic Engagement and Campaign Communications team, the Donor Relations Specialist is responsible for coordinating communication with donors for recognition programs, ensuring accuracy in reporting and acknowledgment of donors, and performing a variety of specialized activities to ensure the accuracy of donor, scholarship, and account information.
This position will assist with events, donor relations, stewardship, and communication efforts across the WSU Foundation, including other administrative/operational tasks in support of donor engagement.
Evening and weekend hours may be needed.
Essential Job Functions:

This position is based in the WSU Zone 1 and Salary Grade 3, which has a minimum annual salary of $45,010.

Required
Qualifications:
o A Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience, which includes six (6) months of full-time experience in marketing, gift solicitation or public contact work with evidence of ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively orally and in writing and organize and execute assignments.
A Master's degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience.
Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
