Summary of Duties:
Evaluate equipment operations problems and emergencies in buildings on campuses having multiple buildings which are non-contiguous; take appropriate action to return equipment to its normal operating condition; monitor building systems operations to ensure their normal functioning.
Respond to emergency calls and reported malfunctions on mechanical, electrical or utility systems, e.

, elevators, hospital life support systems; apply journey-level knowledge in associated trades; work independently without on-shift supervision and exercise independent judgment to solve problems; call in and coordinate the work of other mechanics during emergencies.

Required
Qualifications:
Four years of journey-level experience in one or more skilled trades, including experience in heating and air-conditioning systems, mechanical and electrical systems.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
A valid unrestricted driver's license.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience using all types of power tools and equipment utilized in troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, environmental and structural systems and equipment.
Four (4) years of journey level experience in HVAC, Electrical or Mechanical trade.
Demonstrated computer software skills, including the ability to use office software, such as databases, spreadsheets, word processing.

Range 48G $4,723 - $5,479 (Step G - M) Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 OR applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
