Summary of Duties:
The Business Applications Developer is responsible for the development, implementation, operation, maintenance, documentation, and support of WSU Foundation business applications.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Analyzing Foundation business requirements Designing application solutions Constructing & testing application components Modifying and / or enhancing existing application components Integrating new applications / application procedures Documenting application solutions Deploying application solutions Providing customer support As an experienced IT professional, you will work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions that align with WSU Foundation strategies and organizational standards.
You will conduct planning, analysis, design, implementation, testing, integration, and maintenance for the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
In this role, you will make recommendations regarding the development of new code and / or reuse of existing code and software.
You will participate in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation, and buy versus build recommendations.
As part of the Application Developer team, you will participate in multiple software development methodologies including, but not limited to, waterfall, prototype, rapid application development, and agile, as applied to extremely small team sizes.

This position is based in the WSU Zone 1 and Salary Grade 6, which has a minimum annual salary of $59,305.

Qualifications:
Positions require a Bachelor's degree and three (3) years professional experience.
Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and prioritize multiple competing tasks in a dynamic high stress environment.
At least 1 year of applied continuous professional work experience with.
NET/C# development.
At least 1-year professional work experience with web application development using a framework like Angular 2.

At least 1 year of professional work experience in current HTML and CSS for web application development targeting modern evergreen web browsers on desktop and mobile devices.

Qualifications:
Experience working with cloud-based programming elements and technologies such as REST or SOAP APIs.
Experience with package management systems such as npm, pnpm, or yarn.
Experience with revision control Software such as git, svn, or cvs with applied professional work experience in branching and merging best practices.
Experience with Pull Requests and Code Review.
Experience working with cloud-based service providers such as Heroku, Azure, and / or Amazon Web Services architectures.
Experience working with Relational Database Management Systems and Structured Query Language (SQL) such as Microsoft SQL, MySQL, and / or PostgreSQL.
Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining databases using tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio or Microsoft Visual Studio.
Applied professional work experience writing, editing, and maintaining technical documentation.
