Summary of Duties:
As the Engagement Coordinator, you will support the mission of the WSU Alumni Association through the creation, production, execution, and evaluation of strategic events, services, and activities.
Plan and execute special events for the Alumni Association, stewarding alumni donors, increasing alumni engagement and promoting alumni philanthropy in collaboration with Advancement teams.
Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate annual and special events that increase knowledge, awareness, interest, engagement, involvement, and commitment from WSU's alumni constituent groups.
Additionally, you will coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, budgeting, marketing and forecasting; focused on but not limited to events such as football tailgates lifelong learning initiatives, lecture series, pub crawls, community service projects, and viewing parties.
Percentage Breakdown of Job Functions:

Annual Salary:
This position is based in the WSU Zone 1 and Salary Grade 3, which has a minimum annual salary of $45,010.

Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Hybrid opportunity may be available for candidates within commutable distance to the WSU Alumni Association Office located in Pullman, WA.
Required
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience, which includes six (6) months of full-time experience in marketing, gift solicitation or public contact work with evidence of ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively orally and in writing and organize and execute assignments.
A Master's degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience.
Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications and social media applications (including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
Excellent communication (verbal and written).
Ability to set-up events which may include lifting, pulling, and pushing 50
lbs.
Demonstrated strong project management and time management skills.
Experience in event planning and execution Possession of, or ability to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to travel several times a year.

Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in business, hospitality, public relations, sports management, or closely related field.
Experience working in team-oriented, fast paced, and collaborative environment.
Experience with highly visible events, large scale events, and/or multi-day events.
Experience with contract negotiations and conflict resolutions.
Experience with risk management.
Experience leading or supervising the work of others.
