Summary of Duties:
The responsibilities are teaching (80% - four courses per semester) and service (20%).
The successful applicant is expected to teach introductory-level and upper-division courses within the Mathematics and Statistics curriculum.
These classes include linear algebra, probability and statistics, inferential statistics, statistical learning and other relevant upper-division courses.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in some department service activities related to teaching and curriculum and attend department faculty meetings.

Qualifications:
Completed M.
S.
or Ph.
D.
in Mathematics, Statistics or a closely related field or evidence of expected completion by August 16, 2023.
Evidence of successful teaching ability within statistics at the undergraduate level.
Demonstrated ability and/or potential to support, mentor, and educate students from diverse backgrounds including those who identify with historically and systemically underserved and excluded groups.
Demonstrated ability and/or potential to contribute to WSU's inclusion, diversity, equity and access goals.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience in teaching introductory and upper-division courses in statistics.
